If you regularly enjoy Glutafin’s delicious range of gluten free bread on prescription, you’ll have noticed some changes recently. That’s because we’ve relaunched our gluten free fresh bread range with a new look and a new recipe.
We know that some of you don’t like change, especially to things that you rely on every day, so let’s take a look at what’s different about our gluten free fresh bread and how it makes it better, tastier, and even more environmentally friendly, while still giving you complete peace of mind.
We’ve moved our baking operations from Germany to Glasgow, and we used the opportunity to take a fresh look at the recipes for our gluten free bread. The result was a range of tastier fresh loaves, including soft and fluffy fresh white, deliciously nutty fresh brown and scrumptiously crunchy seeded, that are all high in fibre and a great source of calcium and folic acid.
The new recipes pick up on the trend for sourdough loaves, and they are also lactose free for those of our customers who are unlucky enough to be lactose intolerant as well as reacting to gluten. We’re delighted to say that no less than 63% of current customers rated our new gluten free bread to be good or excellent in taste tests.
We’ve changed the look of our new gluten free bread range to look more like, well, bread. Instead of the old distinctive packaging, Glutafin gluten free bread is now packaged just like all the other bread you see in the shops.
The new modern packaging design features our brand new Glutafin logo and select recipe rosette. Our white, brown and seeded loaves also feature a rural farming scene with trees, tractors and barns, reflecting the long-established relationship we have with our dedicated gluten-free wheat farmers.
We may have improved our recipe and changed our packaging, but you can rest assured that our gluten free bread is still made to the same high standards as it’s always been.
We only work with farmers who understand the strict demands of gluten free foods, from the distance it needs to be planted away from gluten containing crops, to the strict cleaning of combines required to prevent cross contamination. Even then, the food that they produce is tested multiple times throughout the process, from farm to factory, to ensure it is completely safe for coeliacs to consume.
Glutafin’s new fresh gluten free bread is also good for the environment. Our new packaging contains 67% less plastic than the old style, saving resources and reducing the waste that goes to landfill.
What’s more, because our gluten free bread is now baked right here in Britain, in our own Glasgow bakery, it creates far less food miles. This has reduced the carbon footprint of our loaves by as much as 65%.
We’re backing our new fresh gluten free bread with a fresh marketing campaign that underlines how Glutafin is exclusively for people who have been diagnosed with coeliac disease. Our products are not for trend setters or lifestyle gurus, they’re reserved for people who can’t have gluten, rather than those who simply choose not to.
We have been in your corner for over forty years, long before gluten free bread became a fashion fad, and we’ll continue to refine and redevelop our products to bring you the tastiest, freshest flavours we can.
