Gluten Free Fresh Bread That Tastes More Like Real Bread

Just What the Doctor Ordered.

Our new gluten-free sourdough recipe fresh bread is lovingly crafted in the UK exclusively for people with coeliac disease, baked fresh every week and delivered to pharmacies nationwide.

Delicious taste, amazing texture

In the past, gluten-free fresh bread has had a reputation for being dry. This is because gluten-free flours tend to absorb moisture and lack the elasticity of gluten that helps to retain moisture in the bread.

Here at Glutafin, we’ve been working hard to perfect our gluten-free fresh bread recipes to create soft, coeliac-safe bread that has all the taste and texture of a traditional loaf.

These new recipes not only taste great, but they’re also fortified with essential nutrients such as calcium and fibre to help you to get the nutrients you need from your gluten-free diet.

New recipe: gluten-free, fresh bread available on prescription

Depending on where you live, you may be able to get our soft, fresh gluten-free bread delivered to your local pharmacy on prescription. Gluten-free fresh bread is available in all four home nations, although provision varies between areas in the UK.

There are three varieties of prescription gluten-free bread to choose from: soft and fluffy fresh white, deliciously nutty fresh brown and scrumptiously crunchy seeded. Order fresh gluten-free bread in quantities of eight, baked fresh and delivered directly to your pharmacy once a week. It keeps for a few days, so you can keep a couple out and freeze the rest so you have a regular supply.

How to store gluten-free fresh bread

Our range of gluten-free fresh bread is delivered in packs of eight loaves, which are all individually wrapped for maximum freshness. These stay fresh for up to 6 days, so we recommend having a couple on the go and placing the rest into the freezer to be consumed for up to a month.

Once opened, ensure the rest of your loaf is placed into an airtight container to retain its fresh, doughy texture. When defrosting, allow your gluten-free fresh bread to defrost at room temperature and then consume it as normal.

How to use gluten-free fresh bread

Our new soft gluten-free bread is delicious in sandwiches, with a moist, chewy mouthfeel that is just like traditional bread. The higher moisture content also makes it perfect for toast, because it doesn’t dry out like other gluten-free sliced bread.

Of course, it doesn’t stop there. You can use gluten-free fresh bread in so many ways, from a sweet and satisfying bread and butter pudding to an indulgent cheese toastie. It’s also great for making gluten-free breadcrumbs for coating fish and chicken or making your own gluten-free stuffing.
