I have eaten a one of the gluten free restaurants on your gluten free restaurant finder so I wanted to email Glutafin to tell you and other coeliacs about it.
I have been to Dough in Manchester Northern Quarter a number of times. The Menu is excellent! I had choices for starters which were both Gluten free and Dairy free, instead of just having to have a Salad or Soup. I started with Garlic Mushroom with goats cheese,which was absolutely divine. For my gluten free main I had the Goats cheese Pizza (Goats cheese, our tomato sauce, fresh sliced tomato, chives, mozzarella, garlic and balsamic onions). Another time I had the Moroccan Pizza (Tender spiced lamb, red onions, diced mango, mozzarella, our tomato sauce, fresh mint and topped with honey yoghurt) and I have also tried the Pasta Arrabiata (Mouth watering sauce of marinated chopped tomato, a hint of chilli, and optional parmesan) on one occasion which was delicious.
My gluten free dessert was the Marengo (Italian crushed meringue and Semifreddo terrine with sliced strawberries and strawberry sauce), which I enjoyed. My husband's gluten free dessert was the flourless chocolate slice. I have also tried the gluten free New York Cheesecake which was to die for. (Our blogger Jen agrees!)
It made a lovely change to have a dessert choice rather than having to have fruit!
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone following a gluten free or dairy free diet. I plan to go back many many times. When you find a Restaurant which has 95% gluten free choices on the menu and the staff are very welcoming and helpful then you have too!
