3 super spots to eat gluten free in Liverpool

With the Allergy & Free From Show drawing ever closer at the end of this month, all eyes are on Liverpool. As with other thriving UK cities, it has recently undergone a transformation that has brought about a fresh, vibrant new take on eating out on a gluten free diet. Next time you’re in the City, why not check out some of our favourite gluten free eating spots? We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

1. The Interesting Eating Company

You can find The Interesting Eating Company on Allerton Road. This quirky, little eatery serves-up gluten free pancakes, bread, sausages, cakes, cookies and scones. They also serve fresh home-made soups that are free from artificial thickeners. Actively involved in the coeliac community, they host the Coeliac Liverpool Voluntary Support Group every month.

Open from 8.30am-5pm every day, this is the perfect place to meet friends, get a brilliant all day breakfast, have a pancake or toastie served your way, or even grab a light lunch. Gluten free hot salt beef sandwich anyone??

2. Leaf

This tea-inspired bar and restaurant in the heart of Liverpool city centre is a favourite of ours. Its independent nature gives it a truly unique vibe that is reflected in the bohemian ethos behind the eatery. It’s won a number of awards, including recognition as one of the Top 50 Tea Rooms in the UK (2010) from The Independent.

Among its gluten free diet offering is the yummy, warm roast parsnip and sweet potato salad and the tasty puy lentil, sunblushed tomato and feta salad.

Open from 9am–12pm on Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays, as well as Fridays and Saturdays from 9am/10am until 2am, this lively little hotspot is just the place for when you fancy something different!
