It’s that time of year again; the winter nights are settling and we want to invite you to our Pizza Party.

We think these dark, cosy nights call for an extra bit of comfort and what could be more appealing than a delicious gluten free pizza with lots of tasty toppings. We’ve come up with seven exciting flavours fit for any occasion - whether that be a night curled up on the sofa, a unique party idea or when you’re craving something sweet.

 

1. Pizzanara (carbonara pizza)

Carbonara on a pizza? Merging our two Italian favourites, pizza and pasta, was always going to be a winner. We couldnt wait to try this customer suggestion. 

Verdict? We thought it tasted just like eggs benedict; pizza for breakfast... what a good idea!

 

Ingredients

1 Glutafin Gluten Free Pizza Base

100g carbonara stir in sauce

3 strips of bacon

50g asparagus

50g cheese

1 egg

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C

  2. Cut bacon into strips and cook as preferred

  3. Place carbonara sauce over the pizza base

  4. Top carbonara sauce with cheese, cooked bacon and asparagus.

  5. Place in oven for 15 minutes.

  6. Meanwhile poach the egg in a pan of boiling water for 3-5 minutes and place ontop of the pizza once it is removed from the oven.

 

2. The Greek Goddess

 

Another customer suggestion - we had to give this one a go. A delicious Greek feast filled with lots of veggie goodness and a sprinkle of feta.

 

Ingredients

1 Glutafin Gluten Free Pizza Base

2 grated carrots

4 tbsp passata

½ red onion

50g feta

10 black olives

1 tbp chopped fresh basil

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C

  2. Cover the pizza base with passanta and top with a scattering of grated carrot, red onion, feta, basil and black olives

  3. Bake for 15 minutes.

 

3. Moroccan Meatball Madness

 

A delicious medley of Moroccan flavours, which will no doubt be a winner at any occasion!

 

Ingredients

1 Glutafin Gluten Free Pizza Base

Tesco Finest Moroccan Spiced Lamb Meatballs ready meal (or similar)

50g cheddar Cheese

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C (or otherwise stated on the pack)

  2. Place ready meal in the oven until there is only 15 minutes remaining, for example – if it needs 30 minutes, then place in the oven for 15 minutes.

  3. Remove ready meal and spoon over the pizza base, top with the cheese and bake for 15 minutes.

 

4. Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt (AKA Pasty Pizza)

 

Our favourite pasty, in pizza form. This cheesy bake may sound a little strange, but we thought it was a tasty treat at Glutafin HQ. With only 2 ingredients, this is perfect for when funds are low and you need to use up the cupboard essentials.

 

Ingredients

1 Glutafin Gluten Free Pizza Base

1 tin beans with sausages

50g cheddar cheese

 

Method

  1. Spread tomato sauce across the pizza base

  2. Top with tinned beans + sausages and sprinkle with cheddar cheese

  3. Bake for 15 minutes at 180C

Bakers Tip: Chop your sausages up and sprinkle them to cover the whole of the base.

 

5. Cheats Lemon Meringue Pie’za

 

Another unique pizza suggested by our lovely consumer. We love a good lemon meringue pie and couldn’t wait to see if this tasted like the real deal – verdict?Maybe not as melt in the mouth as a pastry base, but still tasty.

 

Ingredients

1 Glutafin Gluten Free Pizza Base

4 tbsp lemon curd

4 egg whites

200g caster sugar

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 150C

  2. Beat egg whites until stiff. Once stiff, gently whisk in the caster sugar 1 tbsp at a time.

  3. Cover pizza base with lemon curd and top with meringue, spread it more towards the centre of the base to stop the meringue from slipping off the base (as it expands with cooking).

  4. Bake for 30 minutes on 150C

 

6. Green Machine Pesto Pizza

 

The classic flavours of chicken, pesto, basil and spinach will always be a winner - sprinkle with some pine nuts for that extra bit of crunch!

 

Ingredients

1 Glutafin Gluten Free Pizza Base

4 tbsp pesto

100g cooked chicken

1 handful spinach

Mozzarella (as desired)

1 tbsp pine nuts

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C

  2. Cover the pizza base with pesto and scatter with cooked chicken, spinach, sliced mozzarella and pine nuts.

  3. Bake for 15 minutes

 

7. The Mighty Meaty Italian

 

Of course we couldn’t have a pizza themed week without including a dish which represents our Italian heritage – packed full of meaty flavour, our Italian family will be proud.

 

Ingredients

1 Glutafin Gluten Free Pizza Base

4tbsp passata

50g cheddar cheese

Mozzarella (as desired)

1 tbsp chopped fresh basil

1 selection of Italian meats (salami, prosciutto ham & pepperoni)

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C

  2. Spread pizza base with passata and sprinkle with cheddar cheese

  3. Top with meats, mozzarella and basil

  4. Bake for 15 minutes
