Parmesan and Rosemary Tartlets Recipe

Parmesan and Rosemary Tartlets - Glutafin gluten free recipes

Aromatic pastry with Parmesan cheese and fresh rosemary. Ideal party food

Ingredients

Pastry

225g/8oz Glutafin Select Multipurpose White Mix
50g/2oz vegetable lard
3 x 15ml tbsp olive oil
25g/1oz grated Parmesan cheese
1 x 5ml tsp chopped rosemary
1 x 15ml tbsp cold water
1 medium egg


Filling

125g/41/2oz (3 rashers) lean smoked back bacon
75g/3oz light cream cheese
2 x 5ml tsp Dijon mustard
5 x 15ml tbsp milk
1 x 5ml tsp chopped rosemary
A good grind of black pepper
2 medium eggs





Method

1. Prepare the pastry. Place half the measured pastry mix into a bowl with the remaining pastry ingredients. Bind together to make a smooth paste using a fork. Blend in the remaining pastry mix using the fork and then by hand to form a smooth ball of pastry.
2. Transfer pastry to a work surface lightly dusted with mix and knead for a few minutes. Roll out thinly and cut into 16 rounds using an 8cm/3" pastry cutter. Place rounds into patty trays.
3. Wrap and chill pastry for 20 minutes.
4. Prepare filling. Grill bacon until golden and finely dice. Divide between the pastry shells.
5. Blend cream cheese with the mustard and milk and combine with remaining filling ingredients using a fork.
6. Pour filling mix into pastry shells and bake until the pastry is crisp and the filling golden brown.


Gluten-free, wheat-free option
Use 225g/8 oz Glutafin Gluten Free Wheat Free Multipurpose Mix and remaining ingredients as shown.

To freeze
Suitable for home freezing for up to 1 month. Wrap tartlets individually for great lunch box snacks
