Glutafin Gluten Free Blog

Welcome to the new Love Food blogs

Glutafin's new Love Food club blogs

19th May 2011 - by Jen
Hello, my name is Jen. I will be writing to you over the next few months on a number of gluten free topics and providing any help I can on living gluten free. I really hope you find the information in the Love Food club helpful, especially for this week’s Coeliac Awareness Week. I work for Glutafin and cannot eat gluten myself, so I have personally found the tips from Michael McCamley in the Love Food videos very helpful. Coeliac Awareness Week provides some great opportunities to help your friends understand what it's like to live with coeliac disease, by getting them involved in baking with gluten free food. Hosting a dinner party is a good way to get everyone round for a catch up and will hopefully help them understand how to cook gluten free for when they have you over for dinner! There are plenty of activities organised by Coeliac UK for this week. Glutafin has been sponsoring the local Coeliac UK walks and providing Glutafin Fresh Bread and Multipurpose White Mix for Coeliac UK's afternoon tea sessions. Please let me know if you have been attending these tea sessions or what you have been up to in Coeliac Awareness Week in the comment box below.

Have a look at this great pudding to make at any of your dinner parties. Impressively easy and delicious-no-one would guess it was gluten free!

Have a great Coeliac Awareness Week from all the team at Glutafin!

hi lorainne It might be worth you adding a ½ tsp of sugar and ¼ tsp of glycerine to help soften the loaf. Also if you store the loaf in a seal proof container, it will help to soften the loaf.
