Hi there All,
Just thought Id pop by to let you know about my new found cooking skills!
Having only worked for Glutafin for a short period of time its clear to see that if you are newly diagnosed the ammount of products and info can seem a bit over whelming.
However after spending the day at our Home Economists on a baking day, I was quite pleasantly surprised(not being a cook of any calibre) to see and taste the end results!
My colleagues and I produced great tasting white bread, baked in the breadmaker, and it really did taste as good as normal bread and some!!, especially as it was all warm..yummm!!!!
We also made some fudge brownies with the white mix, and both myself and the others were impressed.
I thought that these type of products would be out of reach to someone diagnosed with Coeliacs, but our day with Kay proved us wrong.
The three of us that attended all agreed that it had inspired us to bake...we ll see, but overall it was a great day had by all.

Hello there. I bet some of you are waiting for e-Newsletter. Hopefully, you will have received our first issue by the end of this month.  The blame for this small delay lies with me. If it hadn't been for my circumspection in selecting the content, the newsletter would have been ready. However, I do not want to produce something which will be useless for you. Hence I select brainstormed ideas very carefully. Moreover, James and I supported by our IT-consultants are in the process of constructing an on-line facility which will enable you to have your say on various topics. Once we have finalized this task, you yourself will be deciding what you would like to have in your newsletter. So thanks for your patience and keep your fingers crossed. Also, I welcome your ideas and hints which can be sent to peter.przybylski@glutafin.co.uk. Regards.Peter

Hi Barbara. Many thanks for your feedback on our new website. The team have all worked really hard over the last few months and so it is really great to see the fruits of our labour finally being enjoyed. I must confess that uploading some of the recipes was extremely mouth-watering work! Being a sucker for sweet things, I would find myself frequently drooling over delights such as Sticky Toffee Pudding and Banoffee Shortbread Pie, but I would have to say that Raspberry and Sponge Flan is definitely amongst my faves! We are constantly updating and adding new things, so keep clicking! Clare

As a foreigner, I'd like to tell you something about British food and cuisine from slightly different perspective. Can you imagine how daunting it was when my Italian, French and Polish friends were trying to put me off traditional British dishes? I recall them grumbling it is too basic, too beefy, tasteless, blablabla. But have they ever nibbled at Sheppard’s Pie, Welsh Rarebit or Haggis? The thing is that all those deeply-rooted clichés are being spread around by people who have never tried traditional British dishes out. I discovered that, similarly to English, British cuisine is fantastically varied, full of different tastes and flavours. And what about my favourite fish & chips? If you are absolutely crazy about them, as I am, it is good to know that thanks to our flour mixes you can make gluten-free batter ! Sounds good? Just try out this recipe which was specially tailored for you by our home-economist. But please remember that fish & chips, like any other deep fried dish, should be rather occasional treat.
